India's dairy industry is poised for rapid expansion. The Prime Minister’s Rashtriya Gokul Mis¬sion initiative has assisted many prospective dairy entrepreneurs in starting their own businesses. Furthermore, the Union Budget 2022-23 is planned to bolster the dairying and livestock sectors with a slew of measures aimed at making them more sustainable in the face of global uncertainty. Dairy is now In¬dia's single largest agri-commodity. It contrib-utes five percent to the national economy and directly employs 80 million dairy farmers. Cus¬tomers are health-conscious, and they want the cleanest milk possible. The majority of buyers in India are looking for A2 milk. However, most of the milk available in India now is A1, which is not good for human consumption. Customers are becoming more aware of the advantages of using/consuming A2 milk. The A2 milk sector is growing as a result of the health benefits and increased customer awareness.
Aamro Dairies was founded with the goal of reviving India's indigenous cow breeds. India is current¬ly on the mission to achieve this goal and this initiative taken by the Indian government will help Aamro Dairies accomplish it's mission. The dairy farm also intends to launch bovine breed¬ing in Dubai very soon, and then expand to oth¬er geographical areas based on demand.
Aamro Dairies is a premium A2 milk producing dairy that prioritizes hygiene and milk purity. Since it exclusively produces A2 milk, there is a high demand for their milk. To enhance milk production, the firm has concentrated its efforts on breeding high-quality, high-yielding cows. Aamro Dairies' plan is not only to manufacture and provide A2 milk and byproducts, but also to ensure genetic improvements through various ethical breeding procedures in order to increase the population of indigenous and A2 milk producing cattle in India.
Muralidharan Nair, the company's CEO, established Aamro Dairies with a team of highly experienced and capable veterinary specialists after visiting Brazil and learning about the newest dairy and breeding technology. The Director, Seena Muralidharan, leads a team of dairy technologists, microbiologists, and biotechnologists who carry out quality control, product testing, and other day-to-day tasks. Aamro Dairies is a subsidiary of the Aamro Group, which also includes Aamro Freight and Shipping and Aamro Aviation. The company's founder and CEO, founded Aamro Freight and Shipping Services in 2004 in Dubai.
The company maintains over 200 Forward Stocking Locations (FSLs) and provides Importer and Exporter of Record services in all major nations. Most of its clients are in the IT industry. Aamro Freight has successfully catered to many Fortune 500 Companies for their Critical Mission Logistics with this capability. “We have our Corporate Office with a state of the art warehouse situated near the Dubai Al Maktoum Airport.
Aamro Freight is headed by its Executive Director, Ms Veena Muralidharan, based out of Dubai", highlights Muralidharan.
“We manufacture the most sanitary A2 milk from Gir cows, and the milk and its products are constantly tested and assessed in real time during the various stages of production, from milking to packaging. To assess all our products, we use real-time PCR equipment, an NIR machine, and our analytic in-house lab. We've determined that every cow in our herd carries the A2A2 gene. As a result, a buyer can be confident that they are purchasing the best milk in the market", says Muralidharan Nair, CEO at Aamro Dairies.
“Our unique selling point is that all of our products are manufactured from A2 milk. In addition to fresh milk, we make curd, yogurt, paneer, butter, spiced buttermilk, and ghee. Our next product lines will be frozen yogurt, ice cream, and original fruit milk shakes, all of which will be accessible at our planned Café project in Kerala next year. We also intend to increase our SKUS and production in response to market demand", he adds.
State-of-the-infrastructure in Place
Aamro Dairies has combined cutting-edge technology into its cutting-edge laboratory and has been working to improve genetics for healthier, higher-yielding milk cows. Using innovative technology, the firm can grow hundreds of high-yielding offspring. It is the first time in India that a private dairy farm has its own IVF technology. Aamro Dairies will also begin the cloning procedure in its laboratories shortly. This will be the first of its sort in the world, with a dairy farm having such a facility. Cloning is typically done at universities and research institutions because the technique is still in its nascent stages. Aamro Dairies creates embryos in an in-house laboratory and transfers them to surrogate cows, multiplying genetically in a matter of 20 to 30 years..
Aamro Dairies is India's only private dairy farm that can harvest DNA from cow blood, milk, and even hair follicles using cutting-edge PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) technology. It conducts tests to detect A1/A2 beta casein, which ensures the breed's purity. This test ensures that the farmers have a pure Indian breed rather than a cross breed.
Aamro Dairies also employs NIR (Near Infrared Machines) to inspect each component of milk, yoghurt, ice cream mix, paneer, cheese, cream, ghee, feed, pulses, and TMR. The NIR equipment assures that all the products have the same consistency. Aamro Dairies also offers a Laboratory for Proximate Analysis, which provides inputs to the NIR system in real-time to assure 100 percent test accuracy. Aamro Dairies provides these services of DNA testing and product testing at a very low cost to farmers and other company owners who want to ensure the quality and consistency of their products and the health and purity of their animals.
Robust Roadmap Ahead
Aamro Dairies is still in the growth phase. It is relocating from its current farm to a state-of-the-art dairy township that is being built and will be the largest farm in the state of Kerala. Aamro Dairies intends to raise 1200 cows at this location. It also has a farm in Davangere, Karnataka where it intends to breed 800 cows; the company has already purchased 180 acres of land in Tuticorin on which to raise another 6000 cows in the future, as well as grow feed for the animals. Aamro's brand A2Mate will become synonymous with A2 milk in the next five years. Furthermore, the company intends to progressively expand its influence across South India through value-added products before eventually spreading to other states.
We produce the most hygienic A2 milk from Gir cows and the milk and milk products are continuously checked and evaluated real-time during the different phases of the production from milking to packaging
“Our unique notion of having our own shops selling our products through our own café would enable us to have a pan-India presence. Because one of our other business verticals is a Logistics Group located in Dubai, we intend to offer our products in Dubai first, followed by the rest of the Middle East and North Africa. Aamro Aviation is our flight school in Florida that caters to prospective students who are passionate about flying and want to make a career out of it. We practice in the most recent Diamond and Cessna planes", concludes Muralidharan.
