The Japanese heavy industry manufacturer IHI Corporation and the Gurugram-based renewable energy company ACME Group have reportedly signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly study the potential economic opportunities of green hydrogen. Under the terms of the Agreement, potential projects for collaboration prospects along the value chain for green
hydrogen and ammonia will be jointly studied and evaluated. The MoU, according to the official news release, enables IHI to engage in or acquire a stake in one or more ACME projects in Oman, India, the United States, or Egypt.
It was also said that both businesses would look at ways to jointly provide consumers with an all-inclusive integrated solution that would cover bunkering, green ammonia supply, and goods or solutions for a variety of applications.
Manoj K. Upadhyay, founder and chairman of the ACME Group, said, "We will jointly investigate prospects across the green hydrogen and ammonia value chain, including production, handling, transportation, distribution, and power generation." According to Jun Kobayashi, executive officer of IHI Corporation, ACME and IHI share a vision for creating cutting-edge methods of producing and supplying clean energy to consumers all over the world.
