The cutting tool industry has naturally responded to 'Made in India' and 'Aatma Nirbhar Bharat' India's calls to support homegrown businesses and national self-reliance. Because of the demand, the cutting tool industry is about to benefit from the rise of domestic business. Besides, global manufacturing companies prefer to outsource to India because of its low costs, good investment conditions, and better engineering skills, which have opened up opportunities for the metal-cutting Industry in the Indian market.
As per the IMARC reports, India's machine tool market will be worth $2.5 billion by 2028, with a CAGR of 9.4 percent from 2023 to 2029. To offer appropriate cutting tools and optimal machining parameters, KGM Corporation was started in Rajkot, Gujarat, in 2006 as an authorized distributor of cutting tools, consumables, and capital products for the manufacturing industry. The firm’s goal is to help companies choose the best cutting tools and machining parameters with the best engineering solutions possible, satisfactory customer service, and high-quality products.
"We started with one company’s distributorship and now we are rendering nine companies. Thus, KGM caters to the entire manufacturing industry's requirements, from cutting tools to metrology, and provides a complete basket for the manufacturing unit", states Kamlesh Chhatrala, CEO, KGM Corporation & Adi Impex.

Client Engagement
KGM approaches clients based on manufacturing facility requirements and gets information from OEM machine suppliers or marketing people. The firm, then, proposes the product that best suits the client's project and needs. KGM holds one or two technical discussions with the client and principal firms during that time. After the technical work is done, the commercial offer is proposed to customers with a tentative cost per part (CPC)
and other technical needs. Also, we convey tentative delivery periods of proposed articles in advance.
The client concludes the final offer/ requirement after these formalities and checking with other competitor brands, they close the contract. KGM application engineers visit the client's location with the principal company's technical personnel or application engineers to conduct trials, capture data and compare the results to the company's promise. The trial variance shouldn't exceed ten percent of KGM's commitment.
As KGM deals with engineering goods related to the manufacturing industry, the client expects to get the maximum output from the machines and manpower with the available infrastructure. So, by providing innovative products, KGM aims to make labor easier and increase the efficiency of the manufacturing industry. Industries catered by the firm are automotive, surgical, aerospace, defense, oil & gas, die, mold, agriculture, general engineering, machine tool builders, and more.
To date, the firm has served more than a thousand plus clients from various industries which are continuously increasing. KGM's reconditioning services aid in reshaping tools to get them back to their original shape and coating them so that they work as new ones. Instead of buying new tools, customers can have their carbide tools reground and recoated by the original manufacturer to save money and cut down on material waste. The advantages of reconditioning services include restoring tools to their original quality, providing door-to-door service, expediting pickup and delivery, reducing tool inventories, and using patented geometry. Similar to the cutting tool, KGM provides after-sales services for cutting fluids like water quality testing, emulsion preparation, coolant monitoring, and more.
Furthermore, KGM is extending after-sales & calibration services for Renishaw, Zoller & Rego fix products. These brands are known for their world-class performance and KGM’s innovative services are extended hand for them for better service support.
