India's demand for the injection and blow molding market has been on a continuous upward trend, and in the coming years, we will see plenty more opportunities. One major factor driving this trend can be considered to be the EV revolution. Since the underlying principle in EV says that the lesser the weight of the vehicle better the performance, there will be scope for a lot of metal parts to be converted to plastic.
As an injection & blow tool and component manufacturing expert, Pune Polymers was established in 1991 under the leadership of Sanjay Gupta. A journey that started with the goal of manufacturing plastic molded components for the two-wheeler OEM Bajaj Auto Ltd has grown multifold. The group has diversified into five manufacturing units serving a clientele in the automotive, defense, electrical, electronics, telecommunications, and power tool industries.
"We founded this company in 1991. At that time getting the vendor code of any automotive OEM was fairly easy. You could be a vendor for Bajaj or Tata even if you were supplying a single part to them. As the years moved on, many OEMs started vendor rationalizing. It was a tedious process but by the end of it, we were amongst the only four vendors for Bajaj supplying injection molded components.
Today, we have five manufacturing facilities, four in Pune & one in Aurangabad. And we are servicing clients like Bajaj, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Piaggio Vehicles, Kawasaki, BARC,
DRDO, Bharat Forge, Honeywell, Stanley Black & Decker, and many more Tier 1 MNCs", explained Sanjay Gupta, Managing Director Pune Polymers.

We also have firewall stations for the functionally critical parts which are required to pass 100 percent inspection as well as surprise audits by internal auditors to ascertain that the system is not compromised; meanwhile implementing the lessons learned from similar category products to ensure that past mistakes are not repeated", added Sanjay Gupta.
Furthermore, the growing competitive market demands cost, quality, deliveries, and timelines. To meet the customer's expectations, the company has introduced digitalization. They have connected all machines on IoT, where they live track production and get organized reports of the areas of improvement. Also, to ensure the optimum performance of the company's molding and to meet the desired requirements of the clients, the company has opted for the finest raw materials and used the most updated techniques in the production processes.
