The market for foam commodities in India is growing rapidly, driven by its versatility, making it a highly useful product for diverse industries. As an extremely durable product, foam has a high demand in key sectors like the automotive sector, packaging industry, infrastructure sector, footwear industry and more. However, the industry for foam products is full of complexities especially for the SMEs. For example, the inability of growing SME businesses to utilize adequately the government provided SOPs, the products therefore being more expensive compared to larger players, and their limited buying power, make these companies a less attractive option for customers.
Overcoming these challenges through impeccable service and adopting a customer-centric approach is Joy Foam, head-quartered in Chennai and established over 40 years ago. Balancing price and quality, which are two critical factors buyers look for in all foam products, the company creates loyalty-winning commodities, inspired by new and popular product ranges that trend in the market.
Quality-Centered Products
Bringing a legacy of excellence in the domain, Joy Foam produces commodities that are technically sound, and meet international standards, ensuring optimal quality and performance. The oldest foam manufacturer in Tamil Nadu, and second oldest across the entire South India, Joy Foam, an ISO certified company, has played a pivotal role in advancing the industry, and raising awareness of new developments.
“One of our biggest contributions has been in spreading the awareness of PU foam in our markets. People were only used to latex foam and when this new product appeared, we managed to convince the market in the early years that PU is a great alternative.
Some of the milestones in our personal journey are being among the first continuous manufacturing companies and buying the Laaderburg machine from Norway, moving from a largely retail base company to a largely Industrial base. Today, nearly 75 percent of our sales come from Industrial sales”, shares Susan Thomas, Director, Joy Foam.
Prioritizing sustainability, Joy Foam has implemented rigorous steps to ensure none of the foam goes to waste, and reaches the right customer, in addition to establishing robust waste-management processes to handle waste generated during production.
