The textile industry has witnessed significant growth in the past two decades due to an increase in population, urbanization, and change in consumer behavior. But the textile and garment industry in India is touted to have an even more promising future in the coming years, with growth projections of around 200 percent in the next two years. Based out of Boisar, near Mumbai in Maharashtra, Tusha textiles aims to spearhead the new wave of projected growth in the textile manufacturing industry.
Established in the year 2002, Tusha Textiles (Mumbai) is a prominent manufacturer, supplier, and exporter of Synthetic blended fabrics from India. Using new technologies to enhance product quality and service efficiency, the firm is equipped to compete with other fabric-making organizations in both international and domestic markets.
Talking about the current textile market and segment opportunity, Director Tushar Vyas says, “Textiles and garments have got promising future for India due to the China Plus One policy from the Europe and US buyers. Post pandemic, these buyers do not want to put all their sourcing from China and are now looking for other options like Vietnam and India. Vietnam and India are doing better as far as complete solutions are concerned, like fiber to apparel. India is still better positioned due to its vast population and workforce. Secondly, our consumption and hyper localized brand building will make us more organized on a local level which will help us to strengthen our manufacturing base. We are well-positioned to take advantage of the new market dynamics due to our expertise in making textiles and apparel for ages”.
Boasting a young team with an aptitude to perform under pressure, the average age of their team is not more than 40 years which helps Tusha to stay updated, focused, and dedicated. Pioneering Textile Manufacturing In India For The World
Tusha Textiles is one of the leading fabric suppliers of poly blends, and linen blends to the UK, Europe, and the US. Their impressive repertoire of clients includes brands like Walmart UK, Tesco, Next, John Lewis, Sainsbury's, Aldi, Matalan, Lidl, Zara, PVH, and other global apparel brands. Global buyers need total deliverance from their partner suppliers that is good quality, better service, best prices, and shipments on time, and Tusha as a company has got a competitive advantage due to their manufacturing technology setup, export culture, trustworthiness, and work ethics as well as a young mindset.
Talking about the ins and outs of the textile manufacturing industry, Tushar says, “Textile export business purely runs on trust, as buyer sits in the US, UK or Europe and approves our qualities for the orders. Goods are shipped to garment-
based countries in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, China, Cambodia, South Africa, and Vietnam. The total cycle from order placement to goods in stores is approximately 6-7 months which includes fabric making, garment making, and shipping. To deliver the appropriate quality as specified by the buyer to the end customer with the international standards needs an honest approach as inferior quality products will not only impact the name of the brand but also our reputation as textile manufacturers”.
The responsibility of maintaining quality standards throughout the supply chain is of pivotal importance which the team at Tusha understands and achieves through building client trust and ensuring strict quality checking standards. Further, the firm has a calibrated fabric testing lab in which products are checked as per the international guidelines to ensure the best product continuity. Tusha is also equipped with a trained inspection team and a 4-point checking system to ensure quality for each and every meter before it goes out for delivery.
Technological Prowess Leading To Quality In Product & Service
From choosing the raw material till the final dispatch of the end product, the quality controllers of the organization abide by the quality management program at every stage. To produce a high quality range of fabric, Tusha relies on their sophisticated infrastructure and diligent workforce.
