Visakha Dairy is the first in India to start milk fortification with Vitamin A and D, having many health benefits even before FSSAI stipulated the same. Tetra Pak Milk by Visakha Dairy is exported to neighbouring countries and also to Indian Army Camps in J&K, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam etc. “We have more than 100 Bulk Milk Cooling Centers spread across 5 districts and one for every 10 KM radius in the coastal districts of AP,” says S.V.Ramana, MD at Sri Vijaya Visakha Milk Producers Company Ltd.

Visakha Dairy manufactures all variants of Dairy Products viz. Fresh Milk, UHT, Yoghurt, Milk Shakes, Aseptic Flavoured Milk, Curd, Cream, Buttermilk, Lassi, Doodhpeda, Badam Burfi, Milk Cake, Mysore Pak, Kalakand, Mishti Doi, Ghee, Paneer, Butter, SMP etc. During the pandemic, Visakha Dairy introduced Haldi Milk and Dry Ginger Milk to boost immunity and health support to fight Covid-19. The company currently gives employment opportunities to more than 2500 persons including contract labour.

environment. The company has expanded and strengthened its distribution network and from suppliers side ring-fencing through various support services such as animal health, hospital, education, supporting infrastructure development and quality feed supply.
Visakha Dairy procures milk from more than 3 Lakh farmers covering 3500 villages. The company is farmer-centric and consumer-focused, relies on cooperative principles and conducts fair and transparent procurement pricing through an online collection system, timely payments and control pilferages. Visakha Dairy further partakes in welfare activities for farmers, breed development and veterinary services. Each plant at Visakha Dairy is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and ISO 22000:2018 certified.
To ensure the welfare of farmers, the company also established a Training Centre and imparted training to farmers in the areas of clean milk programme, Nutritional aspects, Fodder requirements and Animal Health Care. Attaching importance to animal health, Visakha Dairy established 633 Veterinary Health Centers with required infrastructure, staff and supplied veterinary medicines at subsidy rates. Necessary Infrastructure to improve breed development through Artificial Insemination with successful crossbreed semen is imported from National Dairy Development Board.

Today, the company also has 15 Mobile Veterinary Service Vehicles equipped with medicines accompanied by veterinary doctors extending services covering more than 25 villages every day. Besides, Visakha Dairy through its Milk Producers Employees Educational Health and Medical Welfare Trust extends Medical services to farmers and their families at subsidised rates in the 400 bed Modern Hospital, apart from education to the farmer's children, irrigation projects, culverts, Kalyana mandapams, bridges, canals etc.

In 2020, the company crossed turnover of Rs.1400 crore with a CAGR of 12 percent. In the future, the company also hopes to expand its procurement activities to neighbouring districts, strengthen veterinary services, breed development, cattle feed including silage supply at competitive rates. It also hopes to expand its value-added products and strengthen the Brand Image through diversification into Bakery and Ice Cream segments etc.
