“We work with supermarkets, online grocery stores, importers, distributors, Private Labelers, and manufacturers who use our processed peanuts or almond as Raw materials. Currently, along with peanut butter, we also make almond butter, organic nut butter, blanched peanuts, and flavored nuts. We have different checkpoints to ensure the quality and standard of the items”, mentions Rutuja.
"Other expertise of our food technologists, Engineers and our vast experience in exports has helped us to Grow our business. We are also happy to state that our production lines are NO HUMAN TOUCH. We have online production from roasting to jar sealing. We use the best technology in our plants like continuous belt roasters, Sortex Machines, Grinders from USA and packaging line from India and an in-house Lab and Testing facility”, shares Rutuja.
Since the inception of Sonya Group of Companies in 1960, this is the 3rd generation in the company. The Group also manufactures Technical Ceramics and L.T. Insulators which is headed by Rupesh Shah and currently exports to more than 45 countries. In 2013, Sonya Foods entered the field of healthy food products and grew gradually. The company currently exports to more than 15 countries with its manufacturing plants located in the peanut-growing state of India – Gujarat which provides an edge in production. The company has also installed two production lines and jointly the production capacity is 36 tons per day.

Future Roadmap
Sonya Foods sees growth in healthy food habits and hence, growth in the Nut butters industry. However, the company keeps facing challenges against nature as it is dependent on the seasonal crop of Groundnuts. “Post-Covid times have been challenging for industry as all their input costs have gone up from raw materials to gas to packaging to export freights.
