Shivalik Group based out of Raipur in Chhattisgarh is a social and environmental conscious group having wide experience and expertise in foundry for more than two decades. The group made foray into renewable energy generation by setting up a biomass based powerplant for carrying out the foundry operations. This power project was one of the first of its kind to get registered with UNFCCC under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). The primary aim of this project was to tackle climate change issues that was caused by greenhouse gases. Shivalik Group has received carbon credit through this CDM project that was completed with partnership from RBS Sempra energy UK.

We are exporting wheel hubs in huge quantities to the US market as well as ductile iron pipe fit - tings catering to water works industry in the US. We are suppliers to some of the top players in the commercial vehicle industry and the tractor industry as well. In the commercial vehicle sector, we have a clientele that includes Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Volvo, Dainler Meritor India Ltd, and in the tractor industry, we are catering to Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd, Sonalika Tractor TAFE, Escorts and John Deere, to name a few.

Shivalik is one of the leading and largest manufacturers of Brake Drums and Wheel Hubs for commercial vehicles in the country. We are also the only and one auto component in the state of Chhattisgarh and the dominant player in central India. In the railway industry, we have been operating consistently for the last decade and this showcases the quality of our offerings. Our wheel hubs exporting business is also picking up growth gradually and we are working with some of the top brands in the US. Across the three plants we have, we directly employ more than 1800 people and their expertise and experience have been one of the key factors for our growth”.
Adding more about how they are catering to the varied requirements of their clients and their future plans, Singhania says, “We make sure that we are always operating and delivering within the stipulated time frame. With the rapid implementation of technology and automation, we are able to streamline our operations and work much more efficiently. We endeavor to become a preferred supplier for both castings & machined components for domestic & for overseas customers. Our group turnover now stands around 500 crore and going forward, we want to upgrade ourselves by diversifying into more segments. For the long term, we are aiming to be the number one in the casting industry in India.
