Scan Steels Ltd is an integrated steel plant that has a manufacturing capacity of nearly 1.35 lakh tons per annum of TMT rods with a captive power plant, SMS and DRI plant. From a humble beginning in 1996, starting off as a private limited company with just one rolling mill to becoming a public limited company with a fully integrated steel plant through its efficient backward and forward integration strategies. The Commercial operations started in 1997 with TMT rods being the prime product.
TMT rods helped the company in its growth because of its high utility across a range of construction activities.

Through the secondary route of steelmaking, Scan Steels Ltd paved its way up the ladder to become one of the largest TMT manufacturing companies in Odisha.
