With the world moving towards eco-friendly yet cost effective mode of living, the furniture industry is also not holding back. Since the last decade, a lot of modernizations have happened in the market related to wood and furniture industry. Bamboo wood is one of those products that have proved to be strong and effective and at the same time elegant for interior decorations. Products made from bamboo wood have penetrated the mainstream market, making it one of the growing sectors of the business ecosystem.
When it comes to a country like India where pricing is the key, bamboo wood is gradually getting accepted as a hard wood substitute but not many companies are manufacturing products on their own which is making the product unavailable in most parts of the country. Mutha Industries is one of the first companies to create their own bamboo wood and cater to the demands of the market. The company has executed several successful projects all across the country and has been growing at an enormous rate since inception.
Neeraj Mutha, Founder, Mutha Industries says, “We have developed a completely eco-friendly material which is a perfect substitute to hard wood. From bamboo wood, we are producing flooring material, ceilings, doors and every other
product that can be made out of hard wood. We take the guarantee of the strength and longevity of the product and can vouch for the quality it delivers to the consumer.”
Infrastructure Enabling Sustainability
Since Mutha set its steps in 2014 towards revolutionizing Indian home décor in eco-friendly manner through Epitome Bamboowood, it has been a part of prestigious projects like Airports, Auditoriums, Central Vista etc. Their bespoke furniture options such as flooring, paneling, decking and cladding, doors and door frames, outdoor decking and other structural alternatives are fully made of bamboo that are moisture and termite resistant. The robust build up of their products displays higher tensile strength than many alloys of steel. Mutha is committed to ensure that all their offerings are carbon negative and their aim is to be ESG compliant. Mutha Industries empowers local farmers to grow bamboo and have created an eco-system that vouches for economical sustainability for the local farmers.
Mr Mutha further adds, “Our team of experts visit our cultivation areas for hand-selection of mature bamboo. It is then carefully moved to the factory in custom-built settings. Our relationship with the indigenous communities allows us to maintain quality standards of the highest order and convey the rightful revenue to the people putting their efforts in the venture”.

The product is also being currently installed in the new parliament of India building. From not being known anywhere to being used in some of the prestigious buildings in India, it has been a journey full of knowledge and experience for the company.
The founder concludes, “We plan to increase our capacity in near future and provide more employment to people. We can also help the bamboo growing farmers and set a good market for them and we plan to create factories across India.”
