Packaging consumption in India has increased from 4.3kgs per person per annum (pppa) to 8.6kgs per person per annum showing a 200 per cent growth in the past decade according to the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP). The Indian packaging industry is expected to grow at a CAGR of 26.7% and reach a net market value of US$ 204.81 billion by 2025 from the estimated value of USD 50.5 billion in 2019.

Global packers is a corrugated box manufacturing firm that supplies across India. It started with a workforce of 40 in 1999 producing 1000 metric ton paper boxes per annum Currently, Global Packers is producing 12000 metric ton paper boxes per annum with a work force of 300 employees contributing to its annual turn over of over Rs.60 Cr giving a high tide to the venture capital. The company experienced an increase in sales by 35 percent in FY2020-21.
Deepak Gudhka concludes, “We have already started our new project of a Fully Automatic corrugated board and box plant near Vapi (Gujarat) area by the name M/s. Global Ecopack Pvt. Ltd. having a production capacity of 30000 metric ton and have Projected Rs. 300 crore collective revenue growth in next three years. Global Ecopack Pvt. Ltd. has pledged to adopt circular economy and to ensure efficient use of resources as the name says it all.”
