Equipped with a dedicated staff of around 150 members who are associated with the company for the last 15-20 years, Essgee Leather focusses on quality and quality-controlled products as these two factors are the cornerstones on which good reputation is built. With a no-compromise attitude towards customer satisfaction, the products are manufactured using high quality leather and raw materials which are analyzed at various check points of production.

The materials used are 100 percent natural and it is made sure that minimum waste is incurred in order to have a controlled costing. “Our factory is situated in Farrukhabad, in an area of about 100,000 sq.ft. We have over 15 clicking and cutting machines, 50 sewing machines, five laser machines and various other machines as per the process requirements. Most of the process is manual, so lot of attention is given to craftsmanship of the worker. There are no shortcuts as each and every process is important.

We try new innovations in designing, materials, colours, and textures to give a new and fresh look to our products each season”, adds Vikas Gupta.Before starting Essgee Leather under the guidance of Late Vijai K. Gupta and brother Rohit Gupta in 2002, the couple worked together with the best in the industry to gain knowledge about how this industry operates. Since then, they have participated in many international and domestic fairs year after year to build a strong customer base in India and abroad.

The new vision for leather research and industry during the next five years may need to be on sustainability, net-zero carbon footprint, and gaining total recyclability of leather-based materials. As more and more buyers are getting aware of net-zero carbon footprint to meet the environmental norms Essgee Leather is now working with tanneries to make leather chrome free, which can be easily recycled and be biodegradable.
