The bicycle has a history that dates back to six hundred years and is quite different from the bicycles we know today. While it has been said that Leonardo da Vinci was the first person to ever visualize the concept of a bicycle but was unable to construct it, some historians say it is almost 200 years since the first documented bike ride by Karl Von Drais in 1817. The answer to the question of who invented the first bicycle often depends upon the nationality of who you ask. As several people have contributed ideas and developments, a myriad of major innovations has transformed the bicycle’s form & features over the years. The models that were introduced earlier had 2-wheels but no way to steer and some of them even required a running start. One at a time, features were slowly developed such as mechanisms to steer, a way to propel the bicycle forward without touching the ground, and a system to slow and stop the bike.
Although cycling is a healthy and low-impact exercise that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, children love it the most. Since they are highly interested in riding bicycles that have modern designs and bright colors, manufacturers have started manufacturing bicycles with stickers & cartoon designs of famous comic characters & superheroes. Furthermore, the preference for musical horns, baskets as well as light-weight wheels is anticipated to have a positive impact on the market growth of kids' bicycles in the near future. Customers today gather plenty of information regarding the product before they decide to buy it. Their expectations about the products increase based on the brands they choose to purchase from. Therefore, it is important for brands to maintain the goodwill and trust of customers.
