Aerospace and defense organizations are augmenting their digital transformation at a rapid pace compared to those in other industries. The organizations are no longer just competing for market share rather they are competing in new markets to build their vision of the future faster than the competition. However, the aerospace & defense industry faces a unique set of challenges.
“While some of the major issues clients are currently facing in the defense & aerospace sector in India include delayed delivery and longer development cycles for latest technological products, our focus is to tackle these issues with our efficient project management approaches and we have devised our work methodologies keeping the customer project success in mind,” says Mukesh Kumar, Director, Zosh Aerospace.
With a rich experience of over 10 plus years in the Defense technology landscape and as a DPIIT Recognized start-up, Bangalore-based Zosh Aerospace aims to transform the training and education sector with its AR/VR products as well as develop the core defense technologies within India. Zosh Aerospace has three verticals that include the Development of AR/VR Applications or Simulators for defense & private sectors; Design, Development & Manufacturing of complex modules such as the RF Antenna & other modules, Embedded systems and many others. Used in
defense & space applications; and lastly the Research & Development in futuristic technologies which are the robotics, drone & anti-drone, and Metaverse Applications.
Metaverse applications for training on defense systems
The next decade belongs to Metaverse. As the internet transformed every aspect of life in the last three decades, the metaverse is going to play the same role in the coming years as well,” says Mukesh. Zosh’s focus in the metaverse is to develop innovative products for the defense as well as the education sector. Metaverse applications for training on defense systems and cost-effective training simulators are the unique solutions of the company.
“The Defence Ministry came out with a policy for enhanced utilization of simulators by armed forces to impart safe and cost-effective realistic training while preserving expensive equipment. This is going to boost our business growth as we have a unique competency of developing software as well as hardware,” explains Mukesh.
Most of the defense start-ups in India are either process-based or small product based. Our approach to work on system level turnkey solutions places us apart from other start-ups in this sector
The current scenario for defense training is to buy complete equipment or system for training purposes at various defense training centers and impart physical training in different batches. This conventional method not only involves a lot of personnel movement but is also cost-intensive. Therefore, Zosh is providing a cost-effective solution to the training methodology which reduces the training & demonstration costs to 10 percent of conventional cost. Furthermore, the company is developing cost-effective small arms firing simulators as well.
System-level turnkey solutions
“Most of the defense start-ups in India are either process based or small product-based. Our approach to work on system-level turnkey solutions places us apart from other start-ups in this sector,” affirms Mukesh. “We do not do business; we strive for customer project success. Business is a by product,” he adds.
Moving ahead, Zosh aims to become a trusted solution provider for Metaverse Applications and Training simulators for the defense & aerospace industry. Since R&D is the key to sustain in this domain, the company spends a major part of its profits on developing and coming up with new innovative products and solutions.
