The logistics sector in India has experienced much growth owing to the technology integration that has taken place over the last decade. Today, almost all the goods carriage vehicles in the country are GPS enabled so that providers can take better care of their services. However, with the development of technology, problems have increased for the drivers who can no more lie to their clients or employers that was prevalent since the beginning. The drivers generally opt for illegal measures of income because of their underrated compensation from their employers and they steal the surplus that is required to maintain a proper living. This is one of the problems that Truck Ontime from Pune has tried to solve along with many other challenges that the industry is facing currently. The company has increased the compensations for the drivers so that they no more have to dupe anyone for money.
“Truck Ontime believes that there are always problems with the logical support but the recent technology integration has enabled providers to accurately execute any order. Whether it is a small car or a truck that needs to be sent for pick-up, we do not take more than 1.5 hours to send the vehicle to client location”, says Priyanka Bhise, CEO, Truck Ontime.
Eyes on Excellence
There are a few pain points that the company concentrates on while conducting business operations. Firstly, all the 189 vehicles that the company currently handles are GPS enabled so that there are no problems with track and trace of locations which is a primary concern for any client. Secondly, as the company provides both dedicated vehicles and parcel carrier, the in-time for any order is the same for Truck Ontime. Whether it is a dedicated vehicle or a parcel carrier, if the normal transit time is five days, the company offers the same timeline for both kinds of orders.
The company specializes in road, rail, water and air transportation but mostly executes orders in the road transportation domain. It has not been much time since the company has entered the industry but has been able to make impact in this space. “We are deeply involved in building relationships with our clients and everything we do is with the long-term in mind. Our dedication to quality is the cornerstone of our success. We are constantly developing better ways of working. If we find a better way, we act upon it and share it”, mentions Arsad Khan, Director.
