Automation plays a vital role in the functioning of businesses in every sector, including mechanical. It is a well observed scenario in most sectors that to achieve maximum productivity with accuracy and precision, it is necessary to eliminate errors and waste of raw material. Manual operations, conventional machineries, and traditional methods of designing are now becoming obsolete.
Customized machines are therefore the positive solution for it. Understanding this, Pune based Pure Machine Design (PMD) offers one-stop solution for designing, prototyping, manufacturing, and testing the customized machines known as ‘Special Purpose Machines’ (SPM). These machines are designed to increase productivity and reduce repeatability incorporating the need of automation and AI.
Theoretical calculations and computational analysis are the foundation of its SPMs. Being in the core mechanical field, the company prioritizes functional analysis, ergonomics and aesthetics of the machine while designing. Pure Machine Design specializes in providing innovative and precise machine design. “We deliver technologically appropriate solutions optimised as per customer’s need and which are optimum for the process with no major infrastructure change, and this is our specialty which helped us stand
strong in the market”, says Praneet Kothari, Director at PMD. The company uses optimum automation which increases productivity while helping employees to work on the existing processes with ease and accuracy. “We feel that there needs to be a healthy balance between employment and automation. On many occasions, changing the process parameters is enough to get the required output and avoid replacing the entire operating machine. We try to give the solution that can be easily altered without hampering employment opportunities”, adds Praneet.
The Inception Story
PMD was started in 2018 and has since seen exponential growth. Right from its inception, the company has been investing in knowledge and skill development, while most businesses were suffering from the pandemic, PMD took this opportunity and utilized the time in research and development, which is now reaping results. “We designed the PSA oxygen generator with capacity up to 1200 LPM in this pandemic which was a unique and interesting step for us”, adds Praneet.
Pure machine Design has now established itself as a trusted brand not only with Indian companies but also with European companies. Instead of growing in a single vertical, the company has slowly climbed the ladder by working across different sectors and domains including healthcare, waste management, food industry, automotive industry, and pharmaceutical industries, to name a few.
PMD uses optimum automation which increases productivity and at the same time helps employees to work on the existing processes with a lot more ease and accuracy
According to Praneet, the strength of PMD lies in the technically sound team members who are constantly curious to learn, explore and implement new ideas. Besides, the well-equipped infrastructure for R&D and prototyping such as 3D printer, 5 axis VMC, fiber optic laser and few other conventional machineries has given an edge to PMD. “We also have an in-house metallurgist, this widens our scope of material usage and further increases our efficacy”, says Praneet.
In the future, PMD aims to keep an eclectic approach while adapting to changes, being flexible and continue working on speeding up the mundane processes. “We are always in search of continuous improvement which urges us to strive for better results. Always keen to work on new and upcoming technologies and upgrading ourselves helps us to bring our innovations to the market”, concludes Praneet.
