Electrical energy storage is the next big industry in India and is expected to witness exponential growth in the next two decades. The growing demand for power and people's interest towards green energy has opened the gates to a vast market called Renewable Energy Storage Systems (RESS). Pulze Batteries is a startup organization founded in the year 2021, serving a wide variety of vehicles which range from E-Cycle, E-Scooter, E-Bike, E Rickshaw, E-Car, E Bus, and E-Trucks.
Today, customers majorly lack sufficient knowledge of the range of the battery packs, efficiency in terms of storage, the life cycle of the battery packs and the point of breakeven for their investments are the key points that attract the customers. Pulze Batteries has grabbed this opportunity to induce knowledge and create a reliable ecosystem that enables them to proceed with alternative approaches.
The company focuses more on the essential aspects of each demography and their individual needs, which they could cater to with the technology. They are conducting training programs and campaigns to educate the dealers and distributors of the products to increase their trust towards the product.
The company is supplying its products to eight states in India and extending service support for the same. "We have seen an exponential growth in terms of Market Capture as our Sales have increased 200 percent from FY 21-22," speaks Shivrane Gowrisankar, Founder.
Acting as a solution provider rather than just being an OEM
Pulze Batteries is one of the major lithium battery manufacturers in South India and aims to act as a solution provider rather than just an OEM. The company works with a bunch of startups who need a battery for their product, enabling them to diversify their expertise in multiple domains. Pulze Batteries is setting up a Centre of Excellence in academic institutions to study the thermal properties of the battery pack, to develop thermal pads and cooling mechanisms indigenously.
The company is approaching towards digitalizing all battery packs with telematics and data analysis that helps them increase the user experience and innovate further. "We are also in the process to adapt advanced laser welding machineries and wire bonding machineries that can increase the precision of the welding process”, speaks Shivrane Gowrisankar, Founder.

Pulze Batteries has its R&D team working towards the cell chemistry and the assembly process to adapt the solutions to Indian conditions. The company follows stringent protocols to test the quality of the product, starting from vigorous testing of the raw materials, and the batteries are also in compliance with recent AIS 156 Standards that ensure high-level safety. They are associated with academic institutions, which help them validate the product's grade and have satellite service stations that ally with the OEM to minimize the service lead time.
Pulze Batterie's vision is to enable itself to provide services to meet the domestic demand of India and provide a solution to reduce the import of RESS solutions from other countries. They are likely to expand its production and manufacturing facilities in terms of AIS 156 norms that ensures to test the product 4-5 times before it reaches the end users. “We have plans to open more service stations in the prime parts of the country and provide opportunities to small business owners for handling our service outlets", speaks Shivrane Gowrisankar, Founder.
