Meson Batteries is led by Malay Porwal, a mechanical engineer with an extensive background in battery recycling on account of his family business. “Upon completing my education, I worked with L&T shipyard, later moving to its battery factory.
Realizing the impact that my family business had in South Gujarat, being the only firm that recycles lead acid battery scraps and having a great influence in the region, I decided to delve deeper into the industry,” shares Malay. Moving on to RPF, he gradually started his unit with minimal investment.
Malay worked hard to make use of the machines found in an old company, maintaining, and servicing them to salvage all that was possible. Utilizing old products from junkyards and getting them running was the first step to starting the company. To progress further, Malay Porwal and his friend who was helping him throughout this endeavour, took on courses teaching about quality in batteries, the kind of quality that should be delivered, and how it can be maintained. It was this kind of careful strategizing and spearheading through challenges that helped Meson Batteries in becoming a trusted brand in the industry in very less time.

Meson Batteries offers a range of products with specific warranty periods like 12, 18, 24, and 36 months which are designed by a dedicated team. “We ensure that the raw material that we are using is good enough to make the battery life at least 36 months or at least 24 months, whatever the standard warranty is. For instance, for inverter batteries, we offer a 36 months warranty which is higher than the industry standard, and better than even the most trusted brands like Exide offer. We reached that level by procuring raw materials from reliable sources”, further adds Malay. To improve the batteries' quality, Meson focuses on polishing the main process in the battery manufacturing procedure, also known as the ‘curing’ process using top-of-the-line machines and technologies. This process involves curing the plates at very high humidity, which helps the batteries become more durable and long-lasting.
