Rising population and consequent growth in food demand, soil degradation, limited agricultural land, have been inclining farmers towards the utilization of agrochemicals Furthermore, constant developments in agricultural technology have resulted in a shift in farming practises. As a result, agrochemical manufacturers are continually reacting to shifting demands by inventing new goods and technology. However, unbalanced agrochemical use contributes to environmental degradation and agricultural losses. As a result, developing new methods for sustainable farming has become critical.
Lab2Land AgriTech is a Hyderabad-based Indian Agri-Input company focused on R&D and manufacturing of fertilizers, pesticides, crop nutrition, and new chemical innovations. Starting as a pilot R&D centre, the company has evolved into a full-fledged production facility with a 4KLD investment. It has 124 compounds ready for registration and 36 products in operation across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
“We understand the significance of building the groundwork for long-term, realistic, and sustainable growth. Our focus is on the larger picture, where our planet's scarce resources can benefit future generations.
Backed with intensive research and testing, we are the only manufacturer of plant nutraceuticals in the market with the lowest toxicity index, i.e. below detection levels. This means that, in addition to the benefit of using less of our products, soil ph is maintained to protect and nurture a healthy and productive ecosystem for plants to thrive in,” says Aditya Deshpande, Director at Lab2Land AgriTech.
A Needed Innovation
According to numerous surveys conducted by Lab2Land AgriTech, 65 percent of farmers were unaware of the crop disease that his or her crop was facing, resulting in the usage of ineffective inputs. The 'trial and error' method wastes time and increases agricultural costs while degrading crop and soil health. The company's primary focus is on addressing these challenges by catering to farmers through its future-ready CropMed application.
Speaking up bringing needed innovation, the company has been developing a one-stop crop diagnostic application - CropMed - that integrates an advanced new age IRS (Image Recognition System) to identify problems in the form of pests in a crop so as to offer appropriate solutions with best-in-class agri-inputs that are technology-driven and intensively researched to ensure best results. CopMed is targeted at both farmers and retailers, with the primary goal of educating farmers and all other channel partners on the proper input for one of the many pest infestations and nutritional deficits that occur during the plant life cycle.
We are re-inventing agriculture to deliver and promote high yielding crop solutions to the farming community in order to create sustainable value growth
“Our goal is to provide farmers with a complete solution, from crop diagnostics to agro inputs and beyond. With the use of our Crop Diagnostics Application, we hope to provide farmers with precise solutions to pest infestation and crop deficiencies with an AI confidence level of 96 percent.
We are re-inventing agriculture to deliver and promote high yielding crop solutions to the farming community in order to create sustainable value growth,” concludes Aditya. Going forward, Lab2 Land AgriTech would be soon establishing its team and operations in the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Haryana, & Punjab.
