Waaree Renewable Technology, a division of Waaree Energies, announced that a 122.5 MW solar power facility in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh, had been put into operation. The project is for Masaya Solar Energy, a division of UPC Renewable Energy, according to the official press release.
Alok Nigam, County Head, UPC Renewable Energy, "This solar power project is expected to produce 349 MU of electricity annually, and will reduce CO2 emissions by 3,73,422 metric tonnes." The project, he continued, will cleanly and sustainably meet the yearly electricity needs of close to 278,000 residences once it is connected to the grid.
Our first ISTS connectivity project is with UPC Renewables. We will operate and maintain the plant for a two-year period in addition to offering EPC solutions, according to Viren Doshi, Director of Waaree Renewable Technologies.
