Independent renewable energy power generator Juniper Green Energy has received a $350 million investment from Singapore-based AT Capital Group and Dutch commodities trading company Vitol. Nearly two years have passed since AT Capital Group and Vitol's first $200 million pledge. The financing would be used by Delhi-based Juniper Green Energy to increase its operational capacity by threefold to 2.5 GW by 2026, the firm said in a statement.
According to Sanjay Bakliwal, Director at AT Capital Group, "their impressive project pipeline, combined with their expertise in EPC and O&M services, aligns seamlessly with our vision for a sustainable and greener future."
With 435 MW of capacity under construction and more than 3 GW of solar, wind, and hybrid power project development pipeline, Juniper Green Energy has an operational portfolio of close to 800 MW. "Vitol is committed to investing in sustainable energy solutions globally," stated Mike Muller, President of Vitol Asia. In light of the rising need for electricity, we are happy to support Juniper Green Energy's goals of delivering a growing portfolio of renewable energy.
With an operational portfolio of 800 MW, a 435 MW capacity under construction, and a development pipeline of more than 3 GW of solar, wind, and hybrid projects, Juniper began operations in October 2018. For its renewable energy projects, the company has internal end-to-end competences in EPC and O&M services.
