SJVN's 2 plants in Himachal Pradesh produce 50.498 million units of power in single day

SJVN's CMD Nand Lal Sharma, the company generated a record-breaking 50.498 million units in a single day from two hydroelectric plants in Himachal Pradesh. On August 29, 2022, the 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station (NJHPS) surpassed its prior record of 39.526 MU by generating 39.527 MU, a new milestone.

Sharma, the Rampur Hydro Power Station (Rampur HPS) broke its previous record of 10.954 MU on July 16, 2023, by producing 10.971 MU of electricity. On July 17, both plants recorded their respective peak power output levels. "SJVN has established a new all-time high record of 50.498 MU in single day power generation from its two flagship hydro power stations in Himachal Pradesh,".

The achievement of this milestone is the consequence of effective management, ideal operation and maintenance procedures, as well as proper repair and maintenance of the project's component parts, according to him. SJVN generated 101.051 MU in total from all of its operating solar and wind power plants in the June quarter, which is 73.04 percent more than it did during the same time last year.
