The Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kyndryl Solutions Pvt. Ltd. to enhance innovation in the Indian startup ecosystem.
The collaboration will enhance the manufacturing and IT ecosystem of the country by providing mentorship, technological assistance, and access to large-scale enterprise solutions.
It also seeks to promote the uptake of digital transformation and Generative AI (GenAI) among startups seeking to expand industries.
DPIIT and Kyndryl will collaborate under the agreement to support startups in creating innovative solutions in sectors such as automotive, pharmaceuticals, banking and financial services, oil and gas, and government services.
With this, they hope to make these startups more competitive by incorporating their innovation into enterprise systems and advising them on everything from product development and market readiness through cybersecurity resilience to global expansion.
Kyndryl is going to design special programs for digital product startups and AI-innovators and ensure that they receive the advisory and resources that they require.
Startups will also get one-on-one guidance on creating products that can be deployed at an enterprise level, enabling them to reach big business customers more conveniently, the release adds.
Kyndryl will conduct advisory sessions and industry workshops to further enhance customer experience and operational efficiency, with DPIIT and Startup India also contributing by offering policy inputs and assistance with government incentives.
