A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the integrated energy platform Avaada Group and Gopalpur Port to establish a green ammonia storage facility. The MoU, which is a crucial part of the international effort to battle climate change, will allow the port to become a hub for exporting green ammonia.
“Our primary goal is to establish an advanced storage facility for green hydrogen and its derivatives. With each molecule of green hydrogen we produce and supply to hard-to-abate industries and transportation, we contribute to the transformation of our world,” said Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada Group.
Green ammonia is an eco-friendly solution expected to play a crucial role in steering hard-to-decarbonise sectors towards net-zero emissions.
Last month, the company signed an MoU with Tata Steel Special Economic Zone to establish a green ammonia manufacturing facility within the Special Economic Zone.
