It's incredible to see how the EPC market has evolved in the last several years. The rising cost of electricity, the availability of skilled labour, societal awareness, and other reasons are all driving the rise of the EPC sector. Furthermore, system designs have improved, thus cutting costs effectively. Streamlined supply chains have also resulted in project completion that is both timely and efficient. In addition, clear net metering, gross metering, and Open Access policies have also opened new possibilities for the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. The major expectations of customers from EPC companies are transparent deals, optimum output from installed solar projects, long-term maintenance, prompt after-sale service and most importantly the reduction in electricity bills.
This is where Navitas Solar is positioned as one of India's leading manufacturers of Solar Modules & EPC Service providers. The company has been offering end-to-end solutions right from the initial conceptualization & design stage to the installation & commissioning stage. As a single company is handling everything, it gives the optimum value for the money invested by the clients. Navitas Solar has been deploying world-class solar technology to deliver affordable solar power. Navitas Solar designs, builds and commissions with utmost sophistication and provides real-time operational support & maintenance to medium and large-scale solar power plants.
“We have dedicated and separate teams for rooftop and ground-mount projects, as both the segments are different. Being part of a group of companies that has five decades of experience, working with state DISCOMs and TRANSCOs becomes easy for us. Also, we have our own solar module manufacturing facility which gives an added advantage for the customers as they have the same vendor both for EPC and for Panel,” says Aditya Singhania, Director - Operations at Navitas Solar.

An Integrated Company
The fact that Navitas Solar is an integrated firm that manufactures raw materials, solar panels, inverters, and batteries; sets it apart from other players in this area. The key strengths of Navitas Solar are quality products, prompt after-sale service, optimum and precise design, well-equipped contractors, and timely project execution.
We have our own solar module manufacturing facility which gives an added advantage for the customers as they have the same vendor both for epc and for panel.
Navitas Solar is an amalgamation of experts from different fields. The team takes care of customers’ requirements and accordingly plans the activities. Each person knows their tasks specifically, they perform their roles phenomenally, and that is how a project is completed successfully. Navitas Solar started its humble journey as a solar module manufacturing company. Since then, the company gradually started its EPC division, O&M Services, Financing Services, Inverter Manufacturing and Battery Manufacturing. As stated earlier, through its subsidiary Navitas Alpha Renewables Pvt Ltd, the company is also involved in backward integration; it deals with the manufacturing of raw materials required in the manufacturing of Solar Modules.
“We have had a tremendous journey until now and hoping that it will continue in future as well. The revenue that we have generated has seen growth in positives and we expect the same in future. We have offices in Pune, Surat, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, and Delhi and has been serving clients across India as well as internationally,” highlights Aditya.
The Road Ahead
Navitas Solar will be increasing its manufacturing capacity to 500 MW by Q2 2022. As a backward integration, the EVA sheet manufacturing plant is already installed and will be tripled by Q2 2022. It is growing in the holistic products market like AC kits, DC kits, Inverters, Batteries and Solar pumps market. Solar Pumps will be the focus in future. “We want to focus more on the retail EPC segments up to 10 MW single projects for which there is a niche market. We are keenly working on building a carbon-neutral, sustainable organization and working towards the global clean energy drive through practical solutions,” concludes Aditya.
House of Seasoned Professionals
Navitas Solar is backed by its highly experienced house design team, which uses latest technology software. Firstly, the feasibility study of the project is carried out and the whole project is projected on the paper. Once the blueprint of the project is ready, the same is discussed in detail with the contractor. “We have hand-picked 5-7 contract agencies for whom we conduct training on a monthly basis. After getting training from time to time, their team has become highly proficient in executing our designs accurately. In the training, the focus is on teaching good engineering practices and safety protocols to the contractors. As a result, the overall project is executed accurately with impeccable workmanship while meeting the project timelines,” explains Aditya.
