Primary Initiations and Challenges in the Industry
The Government is taking various measures to address the issues of Seafood Exporters wherever reasonable. To prevent the use of banned antibiotics in aquaculture and their detection in export consignments, a number of measures have been taken through State Governments, Coastal Aquaculture Authority (CAA), Marine Products Exports Developments Authority (MPEDA) and EIA (Export Inspection of India). Pasupati Aquatics have initiated necessary steps to recover these challenges like non-use of antibiotics in the shrimp’s products, engage the International Authority including Audit Agencies to check the quality of shrimps and also make regular observations so that shrimps can be exported at international standards.
In the initial stage of the organization's exports it was just double digit but now Pasupati Aquatics have made triple digit export volume because of quality and customer preference. Pasupati Aquatics is going to start their own factory within three to four months, which will be one of the highest capacities of production units in West Bengal besides the organization's various leased production units with a target of more than Rs.500.00 Crore Export.
