The inception of the company was commissioned in 2005 under the aegis of entrepreneurship of Shri Nayan A. Jagjivan, by initiating the processing of the Helicopter Maintenance Service Centre for Leonardo Helicopters' Division, Italy. Wider diversification followed through time by securing Air Operator Permit with the induction of helicopters to entrust upon the valued added venture.

The underlying effort of OSS Air Management includes securing European Standards Certification for Aviation Maintenance Organisation, in conformity
to the American and International Standards, and getting accreditation of triple certification for Quality Standards.

Some of the projects in the pipeline are Construction of Heliports / Helipads, building dozens of helipads. OSS Air has a very ambitious project to develop exclusive Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) for the cities at cost pricing as low as Rs 10 to Rs 15. The establishment of a flight and aircraft maintenance training institute is in process and already company has initiated the CAP 7100 process.
The company has secured Collaboration with Astronautics, USA, for sales and after-sales services to extend their international presence. Recently OSS have acquired 2 nos Leonardo Helicopters to their fleet and planning to take the figure to 20 helicopters under maintenance fleet with global plans for MRO expansion to begin with neighboring Bangladesh.OSS Air is also a Sim Specialist flight training partner for the region for AW 139 Leonardo Helicopter associated with Caverton Aviation Training Center, located at the International Airport in Lagos, Nigeria.
