India has installed 186 waste-to-energy facilities with a combined capacity of 317.03 MW for the production of biogas and bio CNG power from industrial waste and wastewater. Since it involves producing power from rubbish and reducing reliance on fossil fuels, the waste-to-energy market is presenting an enticing potential for investors and project developers to offer solutions to the pressing needs of trash management and a reliable renewable energy source. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is promoting the national effort to recover energy from industrial, urban, and rural wastes, and it has accelerated the sector's rapid expansion.
Koshish Sustainable Solutions is an initiative by a team of young and dynamic professionals from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) with a cumulative experience of 10+ years. “We are concentrating on the domestic market and have recently developed some excellent plants that can be installed immediately in homes without the need for further construction and can be used to generate energy from waste, replace
LPG in homes, and produce good fertilizer that can be applied to Indian agricultural land", speaks Dr. Ratnesh Tiwari, Co-Founder & CEO, Koshish.

Koshish assists with the construction of a biogas plant using various raw materials, including cow dung, poultry waste, agricultural waste, press mud, and other biodegradable waste.
We aim to oversee sustainable development by converting project effects into profits for our clients, as well as for the community & environment in which we operate
Koshish believes its unique selling point is its ESPs after-sales services hence the firm stays in touch with clients even after the plant has been commissioned and guarantees its customers full assistance and support for the next 10 years. Large-scale manufacturers of organic waste leftovers and food waste who are environmentally conscientious are among the company's major customers.
“We have successfully completed more than 50 projects across India, with a production of 2000m3 of biogas per day which help in generating around 3000kWh electricity along with 8000kg of cooking gas equivalent to LPG per day, by treating approximately 400MT biodegradable waste with a by-product of 64MT of nutrient organic manure, thus achieving a 70 percent less greenhouse gas emission", speaks Dr. Ratnesh Tiwari, Co-Founder & CEO, Koshish has been awarded by Startup India award, CSR North India Leadership award 2021, Green Pro Certified Natural Cleaners, and more.
Currently, Koshish is operating in 10 states and is looking to expand into other states. “We anticipate being able to install our portable biogas plant in one million Indian homes by the year 2025", signs off Dr. Ratnesh Tiwari.
