Some of the sub-sector opportunities in water resources are real-time flood forecasting, integrated reservoir operations, water resources information system, flood zonation, inflow forecasting and synchronized operations of all dams in a river basin. Various initiatives of the Government of India including the Dam Safety Act, Atal Bhujal Yojana, National Hydrology Project, Dam Rehabilitation Improvement Program, Programs on Urban Flood Management, and AMRUT 2.0 are driving the opportunities in the sector”, shares Vijay, when asked about the growing market opportunities in this vertical.
