In 2017, Hi Physix established cutting-edge facilities for testing Solar Photovoltaic Equipment, including Crystalline and Thin Film Solar Photovoltaic Modules, Solar Inverters, Solar Storage Batteries, and Solar Pumps, adhering to both Indian and International standards.
The facility boasts world-class testing equipment such as AAA+ Steady State, a pulsed and tunnel-type solar simulator capable of testing PV Modules up to 2.60m, along with a Dynamic Mechanical Load Tester and Walk-in Environmental Chambers for PV Module Testing. In addition, a 200kVA setup for testing solar inverters, including Islanding Prevention, is in place.
Hi Physix contributes to the emerging solar PV industry by offering customized research and evaluation services for new designs, performance assessment, and verification, ensuring manufacturers' value claims are independently validated. Hi Physix Laboratory holds the distinction of being the pioneering private testing facility in the nation for Photometry testing. Back in 2006, Hi Physix set up a dedicated testing infrastructure for the Photometry testing of Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL). Since 2012, the laboratory has further enhanced its capabilities by acquiring advanced equipment like type 'C' Mirror Gonio photometer and Wind Tunnel, becoming a prominent provider of testing services to the lighting industries.
