According to Fortune Business Insights, the global contract manufacturing market size was valued at $92.42 billion in 2018 and is projected to reach $188.07 billion by 2026, exhibiting a CAGR of 9.4 per cent. When it comes to a country like India, this segment is experiencing much demand owing to the emergence of many new companies and expansion of the already existing production. However, clients have some typical requirements while availing services from a contract manufacturing organization. First is the quality of the material that should always be perfect. Second is the cost involved in availing the production and third is the delivery date. The combination of these three demands is sometimes hard to live up to by new companies.
Hari Overseas focus in in this direction and it has been consistently maintaining the quality levels lesser than 10 ppm and delivery adherence at 100 percent. 'Customer First' approach & 'Continuous Improvement' are the Key strengths of the company. Hari Overseas uses both Mechanical and Hydraulic Presses. It has used robotic welding which is an added advantage for delivering end product to meet customer requirements as a sub assembly. “I feel the product mix we handle right from PU to Plastics to sheet metal with tool design & manufacturing for all of these parts gives us more opportunity to establish a faster and longer business relationship with customers”, says Ram, Founder, Hari Overseas.
Eyes on Excellence
The founder’s interest and hands on experience with PU processing gave him the interest to take up this opportunity to open a company when it came up. It was a tough ask as the whole project design to execution time line was less than 10 weeks. The tear resistance in Integral skin is better because it is dual layer structure (like a loaf of bread) where the inner core is surrounded by a solid outer core (Skin). The journey of Hari Overseas started a decade back after the founder left his employment. At this time his family and close friends motivated him to take up this entrepreneurship challenge and it was them who identified his potential.
When he decided, his friend Saravanan who without any hesitation made the founder his partner for this new opportunity and rest is what Hari Overseas is today. The overall journey has been great with lot of challenges & learnings and this could not have been possible without support of our key associates to name a few, Radhakrishnan of RK Tools, Elenchetchenni of Techno moulds, Rajesh of DieMech and Muthukumar of Sriram Foams.
Many say 'CHANGE' is the only constant, but Ram believes that 'CHALLENGE' is the only constant and change will happen within oneself if challenges are looked as opportunities. “We have been good in generating a decent revenue (More happy we survived our business case without any borrowings) and we have been working with clients from the US market. Other locations we service
thru our direct supply partners", says the Founder.
