The last few years have been eye opening for companies in many countries regarding which countries to source from. They want to diversify their supply chains and procure from other developing countries like India, Vietnam, Bangladesh and no doubt China has been breaking its monthly export records but so has India. With the Make in India movement we have also witnessed the growing investment in manufacturing in the country and digitization is also catching up quickly.
For many countries around the world who primarily want to source from India, it might be a completely new project for them and they require a level of reliability and trust along with optimum quality of goods. Furthermore, currently, due to the pandemic, there is dire need to avoid delays at all costs as there is a lot of stress on the global supply chain. Excelsource International (EIPL) is a global sourcing company which the customers can rely on to identify the best and reliable suppliers, procure on their clients’ behalf, provide logistics and warehousing support, consult in engineering aspects of high side and low side items and even inspection of goods. Siddhant Buddhdev, CFO at Excel source says, “We offer them end to end support making sure that there is timely delivery and also assist them with customer service support after sales".
The Growth Story
The company has been in the field for 18 years now and it has developed a very strong knowledge base in terms of vendor data which ranges from small scale suppliers to even some of very big names in the sector. The company is currently well positioned because in terms of exports one of their key markets is Africa. It exports to countries like D.R. Congo, Zambia, Tanzania, Nigeria, Togo and Benin. Almost every country in Africa in its own way is rich in some natural resources.
As these economies grow and move towards further industrialization and receive foreign investments for the same, the demand for engineered goods, plant equipment and machinery for turnkey projects is only going to increase from India. “That's why with our strong client relationships that we have built in the continent, we are well positioned to capture this growth market there. We have developed a software platform called Metelity (Metering the Utility) which enables transparency and traceability of various utility consumption at a residential, commercial, industrial and agriculture sector level by integrating hardware with their software platform”, says Siddhant.

The Road Ahead
The company continues to grow by taking on new projects for the existing clients in Africa, growing its client base and order book on domestic & foreign soil, and focusing on R&D of new platform-based products for Indian and African markets. “Currently, we are working on growing our presence in different geographies in Africa and other global markets. We also plan on exporting the products that we have developed in our country, to Africa. Eventually, we aim to get into manufacturing of key industrial components in the future course of time depending on the trending trade flows”, concludes the Siddhant.
