Ambattur Metal Treaters has currently two units in Chennai along with one in R.K.PET and another in Kakkalur.The units in Chennai have continuous mesh belt furnaces, gas carburizing furnaces and tempering furnaces. Their continuous mesh belt furnace with pre and post wash facilities specially works for sheet metal components, fasteners and tiny machine part. With furnace uniformity upto five degrees AMT maintains AP16A standard for atmosphere furnaces.
Their units in R. K. PET and Kakkalur are equipped with gas carburizing furnaces, shotblasting machines, tempering furnaces that are VFC and oven type. bAmbattur Metal Treaters ensures robust amenities for inspection that comprises Rockwell hardness tester, Rockwell superficial hardness tester, Brinell hardness tester, Vickers and Micro hardness testers, microscope with Image Analyser and several other laboratory equipment.The infrastructure and the process control system are wholly automated enabling a state-of-the-art workspace.
