In the year 2000, rice millers in the Burdwan district of West Bengal, which is also referred to as the granary of Bengal for their abundant paddy production, encountered a deep crisis. About 400 rice millers who owned captive power plants (Diesel Generator Set) were in a fix owing to the escalated price of diesel. It is at this decisive juncture that the journey of ABBB Solutions began. The rice millers approached ABBB Solutions as the severe cost of energy was disrupting their sustainability in the highly competitive market. ABBB Solutions resolved the issue by providing them with Gasifier Technology where 70 percent of the fuel cost could be saved by using rice husk in the gasifier itself.
It is without a doubt that renewable energy is the future - not only from the Indian perspective but the world as a whole. Most renewable energy technologies are already proven and only require refinement and en-hancement. While India has started their journey a little late, it is sure to catch up and in the next 50 years there will be no looking back for the country.
