The Suzlon Group said that it has won a further wind project of 302.4 MW from Jindal Renewables in Karnataka. In October Suzlon had stated that it had bagged a 400 MW wind power order from Jindal Renewables Power.
The group issued a statement saying, "Suzlon and JSP Green Wind 1, a subsidiary of Jindal Renewables, have expanded their partnership with an additional 302.4 MW wind power project in the Koppal region of Karnataka."
The second order takes the total capacity, to be developed from Jindal Renewables to 702.4MW, which is the largest C&I order obtained by Suzlon from a single client.
According to the strategic partnership, Suzlon will deliver 96 number of wind turbine generators, namely S144 series HLT tower capacity of 3.15 MW each. The power generated will be utilized at steel plants in Chhattisgarh ‘Suzlon’ said, not revealing the exact amount in a figure of the multi-crore order.
"This collaboration will propel our joint green steel mission forward, while significantly contributing to India's ambitious renewable energy target of 50 percent electricity from non-fossil fuels by 2030," stated Girish Tanti, Vice-Chairman of the Suzlon Group.
