Sterlite Power said it has bagged a green energy transmission project in Rajasthan. The project was awarded through a tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process. PFC Consulting Ltd. provided Sterlite Power with a Letter of Intent (LoI)
to construct the project on a BOOT (build, own, operate, transfer) basis over a 35-year period. In Rajasthan's Fatehgarh (9.1 GW), Bhadla (8 GW), and Ramgarh (2.9 GW) regions, the transmission project for the evacuation of power from renewable energy zones has been awarded to Sterlite Power. The Ministry of Electricity established a roadmap in 2022 with a goal of integrating over 500 GW of renewable energy capacity into the national grid by 2030. A key component of this roadmap is the entire transmission system. A 350 km, 765 kV transmission corridor will be built as part of the project from Rajasthan's Fatehgarh III to Beawar.
With 30 projects that have been completed, sold, or are now under development, totaling about 14,602 circuit kilometres of transmission lines spanning Brazil and India, Sterlite Power is a top developer and solutions provider of power transmission infrastructure in the private sector.
