Indian Steel Association (ISA) said that it has entered into a contract with the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) to assist MSMEs in supplying their goods and doing online business. ISA released the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GeM's signature with pride.
This collaboration intends to make it easier for all ISA members to become vendors and buyers on the GeM platform, according to a statement from ISA. According to ISA Secretary General Alok Sahay, the fundamental goal of this agreement is to assist Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in delivering their goods and conducting procurement through the online platform.
The agreement, which was inked on October 4, aims to encourage direct communication and knowledge sharing between ISA members and GeM. 65 percent of the nation's producers of crude steel are represented by ISA. GeM intends to create a useful financial government interface as well. According to GeM authorities, this strategy will be put into action in the upcoming months and will involve the onboarding of numerous institutions. The MSME steel buyers will benefit greatly from this, it was stated.
