PURE EV strengthens the electric two-wheeler market by partnering with JioThings, a Jio Platforms subsidiary that delivers advanced smart digital clusters and telematics features in electric vehicles. PURE EV uses an initial agreement to integrate JioThings’ entire IoT solutions within its electric two-wheelers, which boosts vehicle connectivity and functionality.
With 4G telematics integrated into PURE EV, drivers will have access to real-time vehicle status updates that enhance operational performance measures. Nishanth Dongari, the PURE EV founder and managing director, described this evaluation as a major advancement in understanding how to redefine the EV ecosystem, which delivers better connectivity features and increased user convenience to customers.
The JioThings 4G Smart Digital Cluster operates using AvniOS, which stems from the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), to deliver real-time data analysis and user-customizable two-wheeler displays compatible with full high definition plus touchscreen display capabilities. Users with the JAAS Jio Automotive App Suite will access JioStore, as well as music streaming services, navigation features, and hands-free voice assistance.
"This partnership is a step forward in shaping the future of the electric two-wheeler sector and driving widespread adoption of sustainable transportation solutions," said Ashish Lodha, President of Jio Platforms Ltd.
This collaboration is expected to accelerate the shift towards connected and sustainable electric mobility, strengthening the entire EV ecosystem and benefiting consumers and the industry.
