Mahindra Group and Anduril Industries from the US have revealed a strategic partnership to jointly develop and produce autonomous maritime systems, AI-driven Counter Unmanned Aerial System (CUAS) technologies, and command and control (C2) software.
The partnership seeks to improve regional security through the implementation of advanced autonomous technologies for maritime operations. The emphasis will be on modular Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) for reconnaissance, surveillance, security, and survey operations. Furthermore, CUAS technology will be created to identify and eliminate drone threats.
The partnership will concentrate on a sensor fusion system, integrating different sensor technologies into a flexible, open API structure to improve integration processes and accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies in security efforts.
