Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced that it had received sizable orders totaling more than Rs 2,500 crore in both local and international markets. It added in a statement that the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC)
branch of the company, Larsen & Toubro Construction, had received sizable contracts to be set up on this basis. The company in Saudi Arabia has obtained two orders to build 380kV overhead electricity transmission lines linking important communities along the Red Sea coast. According to the corporation, another contract is to design, provide, and build a 380kV substation in Saudi Arabia's central province.
"With new orders from a prestigious Gujarat DISCOM, the PT&D company in India maintained its winning trend in the Revamped Reforms Based and Results-Linked Distribution Sector (RDSS) Scheme projects. In three districts of Gujarat's southern area, distribution infrastructure construction and modernisation are part of the project's scope, according to the statement. Projects between Rs 2,500 and Rs 5,000 crore are considered major orders by the company.
