Larsen & Toubro (L&T), a distinguished infrastructure company, fetched a large number of orders from domestic and international markets. The company’s strength in the power transmission and distribution landscape has been a significant part of its contract, while the orders ranging between Rs 2,500 Cr and Rs 5,000 Cr are considered “large” orders by L&T.
The company’s recent successes include a project to develop a gas-insulated substation in the Western parts of India, combined with another for the turnkey construction of a transmission line to supply power in the same location. These projects are anticipated to enhance the power infrastructure remarkably and support the increasing energy demands in India.
Amidst its domestic milestones, L&T’s international footprint is directed towards expansion. In Saudi Arabia, the company has secured agreements for constructing overhead transmission lines of two 380kV, almost over 130 kilometers. These transmission lines are considered vital for delivering a reliable power supply to key areas near Riyadh.
Besides, L&T has confirmed extra contracts in the UAE and Qatar, as well as ongoing projects in India and Oman, strengthening its strong presence in the Middle East. The highlight of these large orders will result in the company’s increasing investments in reliable grid infrastructure both in India and abroad, adding customer trust in L&T’s engineering and project performance capabilities.
