With the intention of installing commercial washing machines in the electronice sector, LG Electronics India has entered the self-laundry service industry in the nation. By the end of this year, the company hopes to have opened 200 self-laundry service centres after investing $4 million in the venture.
Galgotias University in Greater Noida and the South Korean company have partnered to create the first setup of its kind, accommodating 1500 students. Students will find it easy to use LG commercial washing machines thanks to an app that makes machine reservations, operations, and automated payments simple.
Hong Ju Jeon, managing director at LG Electronics India said, with self-laundry service at educational institutes the company is entering into a new business venture aimed at enabling convenience for students.
