JSW MG Motor India Appoints Anurag Mehrotra as Managing Director

JSW MG Motor India has elected Anurag Mehrotra as its fresh Managing Director, marking a move of strategic intention for the organization as it makes a push in India's automotive manufacturing industry. With over three decades of experience in work behind his back, Mehrotra possesses extensive knowledge acquired in business development, strategy, sales, and marketing. His past roles have been Vice President of Strategy & International Business for Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles and President & Managing Director at Ford India.

Mehrotra will be Gurugram-based and will drive major strategic initiatives. It will also further develop the company's four pillars of diversity, experience, innovation, and community. He replaces Rajeev Chaba, who was instrumental in bringing new products under the MG brand. Chaba will remain a member of the joint steering committee and continue to guide the management and shareholders.

JSW MG Motor India is a joint venture formed in 2023 between China’s SAIC Motor, a global Fortune 500 company, and India’s JSW Group, a leading conglomerate with diverse interests across multiple sectors.
