Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), DRDO, and Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme. The BEL stated in separate press releases that it also inked another
MoU with Cisco for long-term strategic cooperation in the fields of networking, collaboration, and security as well as other related services. According to the PSU, these MoUs were inked between February 13 and February 17 at Aero India 2023 in Bengaluru. The fifth generation Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft is a multi-role, all-weather fighter aircraft with exceptional survivability and stealth capability, according to BEL.
BEL and ADA will design, develop, qualify, produce, and supply Internal Weapon Bay Computers and other Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) for AMCA, as well as offer lifetime product support to the Indian Air Force. This MoU aims to take advantage of the complementary strengths and capabilities of both companies. About the Agreement with Cisco, BEL stated that the collaboration intends to take advantage of the strengths and skills to profit from opportunities coming up in the network and security areas.
