The AVAADA Group announced that it has a contract in place with Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Ltd (TSSEZL) to establish a green hydrogen and ammonia manufacturing facility there. The facility would be built in the Ganjam district of Odisha's Gopalpur Industrial Park.
AVAADA Group revealed "an initiative to establish a state-of-the-art green hydrogen and ammonia manufacturing unit in Odisha" in a statement. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Limited (TSSEZL), which led to this momentous action.
The project seeks to reduce annual CO2 emissions by around 2 million tonne while also creating about 1,600 direct and 4,000 indirect employment possibilities. Vineet Mittal, chairman of the AVAADA Group, stated that the collaboration is intended to hasten the transition to green energy and support India's aspiration to become a leader in the production of green hydrogen on a worldwide scale.
The MoU is an important step on our path to the realisation of our green ammonia enterprise. The company is an integrated energy conglomerate with a broad portfolio that includes everything from the production of green ammonia to solar blocks.
