Avaada Group and Casale Partners to Boost India’s Sustainable Energy Future

Avaada Group has formed a strategic business partnership with Casale to create India's biggest green ammonia production facility in Odisha, Gopalpur. The plant at Gopalpur exemplifies a major stride toward cleaner energy governance for India because it can produce 1,500 tonnes of daily output.

The plant obtains its power from renewable sources as Casale implements its sophisticated ammonia production technology for a process that produces zero carbon emissions. This project will establish benchmarks for India's net-zero goals since Casale offers the green ammonia process license, a basic engineering package, proprietary equipment, and a detailed engineering review.

Avaada Group Chairman Vineet Mittal emphasized the project’s transformative impact: "This green ammonia plant reflects our vision of creating a carbon-free future while driving India's green energy revolution. Collaborating with Casale enables us to leverage world-class expertise to deliver a facility that is both innovative and transformative.”

Casale CEO Federico Zardi announced the company's increasing presence in India, declaring, “With this project, Casale further strengthens its presence in India, where we have now licensed a total green ammonia capacity of 5,700 MTD.”

The project establishes India as an industry leader in sustainable development through its replacement of fossil fuel ammonia production with renewable energy systems, which decreases total emissions. This Gopalpur facility will revolutionize global green hydrogen and ammonia industries by advancing sustainable innovation through environmental responsibility.
