Viraj employs a combination of mechanical and manual processes, as well as appropriate safety precautions, to en¬sure that the cleaning and sludge processing are completed within the time frame specified, without jeopardising any of the required quality parameters of the recovered oil and waste to be disposed of. Viraj can mobilise and demobilise re¬sources quickly and set up the site facilities in a short amount of time. The corporation owns its own equipment, which is constantly kept in working order, even during lean periods when there is no closure.

Today, Viraj has a very good reach and penetration in almost all the OMC (Oil Marketing Companies), Refineries and Ports. The company is well recognized by the industry as a princi¬pled and ethical service provider. Also, Viraj is the first com¬pany in India to provide Oil Spill Response services in Oil & Gas Field, both onshore and offshore.
Further, Viraj was the first to be accredited for providing IMO Level I and II train¬ing courses for Oil Spill Response and has so far trained more than 450 personnel in this field. Adding to it, Viraj has also been providing Consultancy Services for preparing Oil Spill Contingency Plan Reports and other reports (including SIMA which is first in India) in line with NOS DCP guidelines.
Viraj has also ventured into providing tank cleaning and sludge processing services and has developed capabilities and expertise in mechanical and manual tank cleaning and processing sludge from slop, lagoon pit and many more. Viraj has an established quick response team at multiple locations of India who can be mobilised in a short notice of even less than 24 hours to meet any emergency requirements. Opera¬tions are headed by experienced Ex-Coast Guard personnel.
