Diagnostics startup which has only recently expanded rapidly into 30 cities in the last 10 months, revealed on Monday that it has raised Rs 85 Crores, as part of Series-B funding led by DG Incubation and DG Daiwa Ventures from Japan. The rounds also witnessed the participation of other investors which includes Mistletoe and Tokyo Marines from Singapore, Kotak PE and Trifecta from India.
The startup is planning to use the funds to expand its geographical network and expand deeper into
existing cities. Healthians was founded in 2015 by Deepak Sahni. The company provides lab tests in the customer’s home in India. Healthians aims to be the largest service provider in preventive and chronic health tests services by providing convenient, affordable, faster and reliable health care services.
On the occasion of the fund-raise founder Deepak Sahni revealed: “We shall use the raised funds to continue our geographical expansion, add further technological capabilities to our product, and introduce newer products aligned with our targeted segment. "In our effort to spread awareness about preventive healthcare and making India healthy, we are not just focusing on large cities but will continue to take our services to many more Tier II and III cities in need of affordable, fast, and accurate diagnostic services.”
The company, which was founded in Delhi-NCR region, has expanded to over 30 cities within the last 10 months and plans to expand deeper in the up- coming 12-18 months. The startup has managed to create health profiles of more than 7.5 lakh customers it claims, to provide them with health insights. Healthians operates and manages a total of 16 labs spread across India. With this current funding, the startup is planning to expand over 50 more cities in the space of next 12 months.
