Reports say that there are close to 12 million elevators that are in action all over the world which carries a billion people every day. Needless to say that elevator is the most frequently used transportation far more than planes, trains or cars.

The use of internet in order to establish connectivity between lift systems is gradually becoming a norm and will soon change the whole structure of the elevator usage. A cloud based platform will maintain inter connectivity between lifts and passenger requirements and acting accordingly. These systems will also help in the maintenance of elevators as they can do protective analysis of the systems and decide repairs and corrections beforehand. It will bring about a holistic maintenance method for this industry as a whole.
